Visual CompuSet
Visual CompuSet Professional Edition (VC Pro) is Autograph's design tool for creating data-centric documents such as high value statements and bills. VC Pro is a Windows-based design tool kit, allowing users to add design elements such as tables, charts, columns and graphics generated from data. For increased flexibility, the Visual CompuSet API enables end users to easily access the viewing capabilities of Visual CompuSet from within user-developed front-end applications. End users will benefit from being able to compose documents, access merge capabilities for other documents and images, and print documents directly from their own front-end GUIs.

Tool Kit Components
Data Prep Tool
The Data Prep Tool, or DPT, is the Visual CompuSet programming tool that converts data into text that the CompuSet engine can process. When you assemble a document in Visual CompuSet, for example, the DPT applies logical rules to the information you enter, organizes it, tags it, and passes that information to the CompuSet engine for the next step in assembly. In short, the DPT is the translator, or intermediary, between a document and Visual CompuSet. By adding the VC Pro Concurrent Composer, document applications created with the DPT can be executed concurrently and from within other applications, enabling both multiple concurrent transactional processing and multiple batch runs.
Document Designer
DPT Document Designer is a powerful design GUI with real-time rendering that allows you to interactively design and proof your document using actual data from your files. With DPT Document Designer, you can define and manipulate a variety of personalized design elements including multi-column, variable length tables; borders and shading; headers and footers; and full-color EPS data-driven graphics such as three-dimensional pie, bar, and line charts. You can easily manage cross-marketing campaigns, using variable marketing messages and inserting full-color EPS or JPEG photo images.
CompuSet Editor
Allows creation, editing and viewing of text and formatting input files required by CompuSet for advanced users who opt to insert their own CompuSet commands within a document layout.
CompuSet Viewer
Provides a single viewing interface for AFP, CCF, CIF and PostScript Files.
Emitter Tool
Defines complex printer and finishing definitions using simple language instead of cryptic printer commands and parameters.
The Merge Library Tool
Works in conjunction with CompuSet to allow compression, consolidation and export of document component libraries and images to a PC from mainframe, UNIX or PC environments. Imports EPS, IMG or TIFF image files as well as PostScript®, Metacode® and PCL® pages or page fragments.
Form Design Tool
Generates forms that can be called into large automated production runs for single or repetitive merges of static or variable data.
Additional Product Component
VC Pro Web Delivery
VC Pro Web Delivery enables the design, creation and distribution of complex print documents in addition to producing electronic PDF documents for email delivery or web site postings. From a single VC Pro Web Delivery application, the same data source may be used to create identical output in PDF formats and traditional print formats (e.g., Postscript, AFP, Metacode, or PCL).
