DLS Enterprise

Document Library Services Enterprise (DLS) is Autograph's set of design tools for developing text-intensive documents such as policies, proposals, correspondence, and other regulated documents. DLS Enterprise is ideal for high volume content-intensive, enterprise-wide deployment. DLS uses CompuSet as the composition engine, and provides real time correspondence via the DLS eCor component, which utilizes Microsoft® Word as the authoring tool.

Key Benefit

DLS Enterprise looks and works like Microsoft Windows, complies with industry documentation standards, and generates documents in HTML. With DLS, organizations can create documents, manage business rules, track document versions, assign different languages and jurisdictions to text pieces, enter text piece selection criteria, insert graphics into text pieces, approve documents via e-mail, and more.

Key Components

DLS Server

The DLS Server manages text pieces for DLS and provides a repository of content to be used in text-intensive applications. The DLS Server functions as the Client application's interface to the DLS text databases, and contains a shared directory that stores databases used by the client applications.

DLS Batch

DLS Batch performs unattended assembly and composition, making it the preferred tool for generating a large volume of documents. DLS Batch is available on both Windows and OS/ 390 platforms. You can publish to CompuSet, Microsoft Word, or a third party archiving solution.

DLS Client

The DLS client applications include: DDM Admin, DDM Edit, and DDM Modify. DDM Edit is used to create document templates for batch print or electronic distribution. DDM Admin also allows users to integrate DLS into an existing infrastructure, and provides security for the entire DLS process by administering user access. DDM Modify enables you to modify a document after the text has been assembled.
